Dale Estka
Dale Estka is originally from Chicago and has been
painting for more than 30 years. she is now located
in Panama City, FL.
She paints florals, still life and landscapes, but her
first love is painting portraits. She paints in
oil, watercolor, acrylics, pastel and mixed media.
All her portraits are painted in oil on canvas.
She has attended the American Academy of Fine Art in Chicago and was a long-time member of the prestigious Palette and Chisel Academy of Art also in Chicago. She is also a member of the Visual Art Center in Panama City and the Dothan Wiregrass Art League (Alabama)
She has participated in many juried shows and has received numerous awards, her latest one being Best of Show in the 49th Bay Annual Juried Art Competition and Exhibit here in Panama City. Her entry was one of her portraits "Anabella"
Dale has undertaken a project called "Florida Cowboys." All paintings are studies of compositions from photos taken by Dale. Cowboys in the Panhandle are a common thing. They work hard, live off the land and participate in the competitions of rodeos. In her paintings this is her main focus. She also includes some of their family life. This is an ongoing project.
